 The beaches in and around Torquay lend themselves well to water sports as many of the bays are secluded. Diving courses and equipment hire are provided from Babbacombe Beach cafe by Divers Down call: 01803 327111 or visit local shop premises found at 139 Babbacombe Road (5 minutes walk from Sunnyside).  Lessons in and equipment hire for: wind surfing, waterskiing and diving are provided from Meadfoot Beach cafes by Riviera Diving and Watersports call: 01803 6071365. Snorkeling: You can find lots of quiet bays to snorkel off along the Torquay coastline, for secluded beaches head North of Oddicombe Beach to Watcombe and Maidencombe beaches. Torbay beaches (to the South of Torquay) offer similar delights: head South to Goodrington Sands, Paignton, walk South along the coastline parallel with the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway and take your pick of Oyster Bay, Saltern Cove, Armchair Rock, Shell Cove or Crystal Cove.
